    • Premiere: 2011
    • City: Umeå, Sweden

    Info:

Created during 2011 and opening in October the same year, Display encounters questions of signals and symbols. Eloquently performed with a specific personal touch by two dancers, Display opens questions of representation and imagination to new discussions. The title refers both to the obvious: presentation, exhibition, displaying. Which game are played, what characters are needed in the theatrical space? What signal and symbols do we use and represent? In Display Björn Säfsten continues working closely with light designer Susan Hedin, composer Victor Sáiz and set designer Johanna Jönsson Rameus. A visual and audio-visual room is created for presentation of the movement material. The piece was presented at Mdt in Stockholm in Oct 2011 directly after the opening at NorrlandsOperan.
